My bedroom has been through a lot of updating in the last 2+ years: Exhibit A, Exhibit B. Also, my photos are a lot better (go me!). While I don’t hate some of the previous versions, I do like how my style has evolved and where it is now (very mid-century modern. Yes, I’m aware it looks like a West Elm store).
Anyway, it started with me deciding I needed all new bedding. After much online research, I decided on the Classic Core Sheet Set from Brooklinen and the Linen Duvet Cover in Fog from Parachute. I have to say, I’m OBSESSED with the bedding. I LOVE the linen duvet and the sheets are so comfortable and get more and more comfortable (if possible) with every wash. After the bedding, I decided to get a new bed. I had a bed frame + headboard (and it was a cheap bed frame that came with the mattress) and wanted to get a bed (bed frame + headboard all in one). I’ve been in love with the Mid-Century Bed from West Elm for a while and decided to pull the trigger.
Fun fact: Sundays are double points days at West Elm, so I made sure to buy my bed on a Sunday and then used my rewards for the lamp. Win win!
I wanted to make sure that everything I did in the room looked good with my teal wall color. I know that I won’t always have this color (I’m thinking a very light grey or white in the future), but for now I like it, and wanted to pick items that work with it. So far I’m loving the moodiness of the room.
More to come (i.e. the remainder of the room) but so far I’m loving this half.
